"Tokyo Walk & Talk: Episode 2"
In Episode 2 of Tokyo Walk and Talk, I wake up early on a Sunday morning in search of an ancient Temple called, Gokokuji, close to the Otsuka area of Tokyo. Rumour has it that it's a beautiful setting for some cool, cinematic shots, especially if you get there early enough to catch that magical golden hour.
I’ve heard that it is a particularly exquisite photo opportunity, especially during what is called the golden hour.
The challenge though, as I've mentioned here before, catching Golden Hour during the summer months in Tokyo, which usually means getting up at around 3am to arrive at your destination no later than 3:30 am!
For me, that's been a struggle, and I've yet to achieve this somehow elusive goal. It has eluded me thus far but I still love being out here at 6 am on a weekend - it’s a whole other experience seeing this usually bustling city so quiet and slow. It leaves me with more time to explore and discover all kinds of gems on my own.
