1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using steviethewanderer.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Site. Your continued use of the Site following any updates to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

These Terms apply to all visitors, readers, subscribers, and users of the Site. The Site is operated by Stevie Crawford, doing business as StevieTheWanderer (“we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Ontario, Canada.

2. Use of the Site

The Site is provided for personal, non-commercial informational purposes. You may browse travel films, read logistics articles, and access other publicly available content on the Site. You may share links to content on the Site provided you do not misrepresent the source or imply endorsement.

Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to extract content or data from the Site, except for standard search engine indexing

Copyright

All original content on the Site — including but not limited to text, photographs, video, cinematography, graphics, logos, audio recordings, and site design — is the property of Stevie Crawford or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright law. All rights are reserved unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Video content embedded on the Site via YouTube is subject to YouTube’s own Terms of Service. The underlying cinematographic works remain the property of their respective creators.

DMCA Takedown Process

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content on the Site infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice to us at contact@steviethewanderer.com with the following information:

1. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
2. The specific URL or location on the Site where the allegedly infringing material is found
3. Your contact information, including name, address, phone number, and email
4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner
6. Your physical or electronic signature

We will review valid takedown requests and respond in accordance with applicable law. False or frivolous claims may result in liability to the claimant.

4. Content Disclaimer

The Site publishes travel films, logistics guides, and informational articles focused primarily on travel in Japan. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information presented is accurate and current at the time of publication, all content is provided for general informational purposes only.

Travel conditions, prices, schedules, visa requirements, regulations, and the availability of services change frequently and without notice. We do not guarantee that any information on the Site is complete, accurate, or up to date at the time you access it.

Content on the Site does not constitute professional travel advice, legal advice, financial advice, or medical advice. You are solely responsible for verifying all travel-related information with official sources, including government travel advisories, airline and rail operators, immigration authorities, and local regulations, before making any travel decisions or expenditures.

We are not liable for any loss, injury, inconvenience, or expense arising from your reliance on information published on the Site.

5. Stock Footage Licensing

Certain content on the Site may reference or link to stock footage available for licensing through Sacraw Studios Inc., operated at sacrawstudios.com. Sacraw Studios is a separate business entity with its own terms of service, licensing agreements, and privacy policy.

Any purchase, license, or transaction involving stock footage is governed exclusively by the terms and conditions of Sacraw Studios Inc.. These Terms of Service do not apply to transactions conducted on sacrawstudios.com. We encourage you to review the applicable terms on that platform before making any purchase.

Preview footage, thumbnails, or clips displayed on the Site are for promotional and illustrative purposes only and may not be downloaded, reproduced, or used without obtaining the appropriate license from Sacraw Studios Inc.

6. Affiliate Links & Third-Party Services

The Site contains affiliate links to third-party products and services, including but not limited to hotels, accommodations, SIM cards, travel insurance, and other travel-related services. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not influence the editorial content of the Site. However, you should be aware that a financial incentive exists when we link to certain products or services.

We do not control, endorse, or guarantee the products, services, content, or practices of any third-party website or service linked from the Site. In no event shall our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to the Site exceed one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights

This indemnification obligation survives the termination of these Terms and your use of the Site.

12. Age Requirement

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Site. If you are between the ages of 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Site with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 13 years of age. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it promptly.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario, Canada. By using the Site, you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to venue.

Before initiating any formal legal action, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at contact@steviethewanderer.com. We will make a good faith effort to resolve any concern or dispute within thirty (30) days of receiving your notice.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it shall be severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect and shall not be affected or impaired.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time, at our sole discretion. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date displayed on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through a notice on the Site or via our newsletter.

It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Site after any modifications are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must discontinue use of the Site.
